Modeling and calculation of sound propagation, prognosis of noise immission
For modeling and calculating the sound propagation, the investigations we carry out include among other things:
- description of spherical wave propagation above absorbing or sound reflecting road pavements and adjacent ground, constructions and noise control systems by applying among other things:
- precise calculation according to Brekhovskikh or Multidomain-BEM
- approximated result by consideration of reflexion of spherical waves according to Weyl van der Pol and modeling of sound propagation above impedance surfaces with discontinuities by modification of “Fresnel-zone model” of Hothersall (see Sound propagation around obstacles)
- calculation of sound propagation outdoors according to DIN ISO 9613-2 as well as compilation of prognosis of noise immission for arbitrary scenarios under consideration of the federal law for protection against sound immission (BImSchG), especially of the regulation for protection against traffic noise (16. BImSchV) and the regulation for protection against noise of sports grounds (18. BImSchV)
Measurement of noise immission, evaluation of noise exposure
The measurements of noise immission offered by the company together with the evaluation of noise exposure are carried out according to various regulations:
- evaluation of noise immission and determination of rating level for industrial noise and further facilities and site subject to approval according to instructions for protection against noise (TA Lärm)
- measurement of noise immission and determination of the rating level for events according to regulation of leisure time noise (Freizeitlärmrichtlinie)
- evaluation of noise immission and determination of the rating level for road traffic, rail traffic and water traffic noise according to DIN 45642 / RLS 90 / Schall 03
- measurement of noise immission and determination of the rating level for aircraft noise according to DIN 45643 and DIN 45684-2
- determination of noise immission according to DIN 45645-2 and regulation of noise at workplaces (Arbeitslärmrichtlinie)
- interior noise measurements in motor vehicles according to DIN ISO 5128
- localization of sound sources at vehicles and machines by means of a microphone array (acoustic camera, siehe Measurements with AcoustiCam®)
