Fields of application of test setup for eigenfrequencies
Among other things, the operational area of the measuring system includes:
- test setup for eigenfrequencies for application in the laboratory as well as in the production line
- measurement of different eigenfrequencies (resonance frequencies) of solid structures
- quality control (routine test or random tests) of fabricated constructional elements and components by means of verification of natural frequencies according to arbitrarily definable tolerance bands (target frequency ranges)
Software
The test setup for eigenfrequencies is supported by the analysis software AcoustiNF:
- automated acquisition of the constructional element to be investigated (detection of data matrix codes) by means of DMC code scanner and scales
- measurement of force-time-history during sequential excitation of the constructional element to be investigated by means of impact hammer
- sequential measurement and validity check of resulting pressure-time-history at defined measurement positions
- analysis of different eigen frequencies (resonance frequencies) of the constructional element to be investigated
- evaluation of different detected natural frequencies according to according to arbitrarily definable tolerance bands (target frequency ranges)
- comfortable storage, export und management of measurement data (execution of statistical analysis)
Furthermore, a special software option allows to determine dynamic elastic parameters acording to DIN EN 14146 and ASTM C215. Based on measurement results of non-destrutive tests at cuboid specimens using transversal and longitudinal excitation
- the torsional and longitudinal modulus of elasticity (Young’s modulus),
- the modulus of shear as well as
- the torsional and longitudinal Poisson ratio
can be obtained.
