Operational modal analysis for streets
To reduce noise emissions as a consequence of increasing traffic density, the focus of primary methods for noise control especially lies on the reduction of noise between road surface and tire.
On behalf of the Federal Highway Research Institute of Germany (BASt), the Gesellschaft für Akustikforschung Dresden mbH currently deals with the acoustic evaluation together with the technical capabilities to reduce tire/road noise by considering the vibrational properties of the road surface and/or of elastic intermediate layers.
